What song should I have when walking down the isle at my wedding?

I really, really hate the Wedding March, and I need some music suggestions for what to have playing (on CD) when I walk down the isle at my wedding. It needs to be somewhat fancy, as I want to make a good impression on my fiance's family.

I also need some suggestions for songs to play before the wedding.

Thanks!

What song should I have when walking down the isle at my wedding?
Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel is perfect for weddings. Make sure you get the version that uses violins. It doesn't sound as good played on a piano since it was written for violins.
Reply:Kenny G the wedding song

When God Made you by Newsong

From this moment on

for you by John Denver
Reply:i walked down the isle to a bob seger song.everyone really liked it and for music before i played sawyer brown and marilyn mckoo song.it was all beautiful and well tremembered.good luck
Reply:I am thinking of walking down the aisle to After All by Peter Cetera and Cher.
Reply:You should make your first concern to be how will you want this day remembered. Don't worry about impressing his family, this day is about you and your fiance. What will you look back on in 20 years?? Choosing a song to placate someone else? Pick something elegant that suits both of your tastes.
Reply:Ug... I hate that "here comes the bride" song... I'm probably going to use Canon in D. I did find a really neat version of it played by a string quartet called Bond (Their music is incredible...) Look them up on iTunes and listen to the song "Lullaby" on their album "Classified". It's a little more upbeat than the traditional Canon in D but its so beautiful! (Hey your wedding is a happy event so why not make it more upbeat?)

For songs before the wedding, I personally like these:

"Amazed" by Lonestar

"Everything I Do" by Bryan Adams (LOVE THIS SONG!)

"Inside Your Heaven" by Carrie Underwood

"I Do (Cherish You)" by 98 degrees

Hope this helps a bit
Reply:If you want classical, but hate the Wedding March here are some suggestions:

Trumpet Voluntary for walking down

Trumpet Tune for walking down

Canon in D is good for seating mothers

Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring - seating/pre music

Ave Maria(Gounod or Bach) p seating/pre-music

For going out nothing beats Widor's (pronoucned Vee-dor) Toccata - fabooo and way impressive

You want something big and bold to announce that YOU are getting ready to enter so make sure it is upbeat.

Have a great time
Reply:not what you want.. but I have to say it...

"Another Thing Coming" - Judas Priest
Reply:Hello there, and congrats!!!

I am using "Songbird" from Fleetwood Mac for my processional. Josh Groban songs will be played during the seating of guests. Love his music!

The best to you both! Hope this helps...
Reply:I accidently came across this song, while searching the net for music for my upcoming wedding, and it was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. It's the instumental music, "Amazing Grace" done for the movie "Braveheart". I am planning on using it as I walk down the aisle. I have NEVER been a fan of bagpipes but this is breathtaking. It starts quietly then a few seconds into the piece, the music begins to swell - THAT is the moment to begin walking down the aisle. My ceremony will be held outdoors in a gorgeous garden setting and I can just imagine how exquisite this will sound floating on the air. But as far as your in-laws, pick something you find beautiful. You, and they, will have years to get to know, love and impress each other. Have fun!
Reply:Canon in D - its beautiful!
Reply:Queen's, Another one bites the dust. AC/DC's album, Hell's Bells
Reply:Visit my page on myspace (stilettoqueen) (long beach, 90804 if you need to search) and I have a list of the songs posted on my blog. They are perfect!
