What remembrance song can I play at my wedding?

I am getting married in June and I have no clue what song to play. My fiance's dad died like 10 years ago and I want to remember him at the wedding. But I don't know what song I can use. If anyone could help me I would appreciate it loads.

What remembrance song can I play at my wedding?
With all due respect, I don't think a song is a good choice for remembrance. A wedding is a happy occasion and certainly his father would want it to be a happy day. Playing a sad song which lasts for several minutes and saying that it's in his memory is a sure way to bring down the mood. Kind of like an emotional roller coaster.

BUT there are plenty of other ways to memorialzie loved ones without bringing down the mood.

My hubby's mom passed away a few years before our wedding. We had a memorial candle and a picture of her set up at the church. At the proper time in the ceremony, we went over and lit her candle. It was in a moment of peace and fit in well without bringing too much sadness.

At the reception, we also just had a small table set up with the candle, her picture and a basket of flowers. So it was there if anyone wanted to stop and see it, but not in your face so as to stir up any sadness.

Here's the candle that we used, but the site offers other options as well, including a vase instead of a candle...

And now we also have the candle in our home.

Reply:Congratulations and although your father-in-law to be, can't be there physically, I assure you he will be there in spirit.

If you want to listen, I pasted a few "songs" some without words and some with words. Some have different variations, and tempos. All different venues and tastes. I always close my eyes . . . some of the graphics are kind of, well just forget the graphics, lol.

Reply:i don't think playing a song is a good idea. there are other ways you can honor him at the wedding. you could place a rose in the seat where he would have sat, or have some pictures displayed on a table with lit candles instead.
