Its a song that I'm very good at on the guitar and I would like to play it for my brothers wedding, IF its a good wedding song, what do you think?
Is Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne, a good song for a wedding?
""You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
No I won't give in
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through""
i think it's beautiful!

Reply:i think the message is good, but you might get some flack for choosing a avril lavigne song... especially if he is older than say 25. I would choose something a little more traditional.
Reply:Yes it is a very good song to play and I am sure that your brother will be very proud of you.
Reply:It is a good song but I don't think it's appropriate for the wedding ceremony. Having it played at the reception is another thing.
Reply:Personally, I say it is not. I think there are many other songs that are better to play on guitar at a wedding- BUT that is just me because when I think of the song it makes me think of people who are having to be apart and have to keep things together somehow- BUT realistically how many people at the wedding are going to be sitting there just listening and trying to translate the song for themselves? Probably no one, they will think it is nice you are doing this for your brother and also will only remember if the tone sounded nice. So, if you are good at the song already- then go for it! :o) If you still need to practice and stuff, I'd pick a different song. Good luck!
Reply:I think that would be great.
Reply:for sure. maybe you can also get all the bridesmaids to wear ties too
