Is Everlong by Foo Fighters an appropriate first dance wedding song?
I think if you read my answer for another your question, you've got my answer for this.
Reply:It's a great song! Song choice is entirely up to the bride and groom. It should be something special to you both that you won't regret choosing. The only way etiquette might come into play is if there are offensive lyrics. Even if it were the most special song in the world to you, having "You Can Do It" by Ice Cube blaring, while you bump and grind... Well that just wouldn't be right!

Have a wonderful first dance, and a wonderful marriage!
Reply:Sure it's your wedding. Do what you want.
Reply:The only thing that matters is that you and your spouse both love it and think it's romantic.

It's YOUR day, what anyone else thinks is appropriate is irrelevant.
Reply:hey its about what you and your wife want. Thats the beauty of a wedding, it is the first time where you two are living as part of each other, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Reply:ITS YOUR DAY..IT DO NOT MATTER BUT FIRST TALK IT OVER WITH YOUR PARTNER
Reply:who cares if appropriate its your wedding . do what makes it special for the 2 of you and no one else .
Reply:If thats what you want then I say go for it. A wedding song deosn't always have to be about love. It should be something that means something to you. Maybe a song you both love, of the first song you ever danced to.
Reply:Beautiful song, great lyrics. I'd personally (being a musician) think that it should be "toned down" and mellowed out a little, but it's a great song.
