I'm wanting to sing a song a song for my to be wife at our wedding. I need something easy though. My friend is going to play the guitar so something he could play and i could sing to. Really any style of music is fine at this point because I'm getting desperate.
What is a good song for a groom to sing at a wedding?
It seemed easy enough for them to sing during the movie duets. What about Try a Little Tenderness?

Reply:baby got back by sir mixalot. great wedding song. hth
Reply:Well, I have a few ideas the musical part may be harder to play but the lyrics may be simple enough. Maybe you could also record it and just play it for your guys 1st dance as a surpise or even sing your guys "song". Here are some of the idea's that I had might not be very good as I think they'll be to hard some of the lyrics. You can watch mv's for them on Youtube.com for free if you need a sense of the sound and mood of them if you don't know them.
1. Bryan Adams - Best of Me
2. Atlantic Star- Always
3. The Beatles - Do You Want to Know a Secret
4. Thumbelina - Let Me Be Your Wings (Yes, from the movie)
5. Heatwave - Always and Forever
6. George Benson - Love Ballad
7. Richard Marx - Now and forever
8. Jim Brickman - Simple Things
9. Clay Aiken - The Way
10. Buddy Holly - True Love Ways
Ok, so that will be a few different ones to look into possibly being able to sing. Best of luck :) I could probably come up with more if need be haha, but figured these will give you some to at least think about.
Reply:If you don't have something in mind, my guess is that you don't really want to sing, but you feel obligated. If you really were into that, I think you'd have trouble narrowing it down from hundreds of songs to just one.

Song: Aint No Mountain High Enough
Album:
[" " CD]
(Nickolas Ashford/Valerie Simpson)
Listen, baby
Ain't no mountain high
Ain't no vally low
Ain't no river wide enough, baby
If you need me, call me
No matter where you are
No matter how far
Just call my name
I'll be there in a hurry
You don't have to worry
'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you
Remember the day
I set you free
I told you
You could always count on me
From that day on I made a vow
I'll be there when you want me
Some way,some how
'Cause baby,
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you
No wind, no rain
My love is alive
Way down in my heart
Although we are miles apart
If you ever need a helping hand
I'll be there on the double
As fast as I can
Don't you know that
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you
Don't you know that
There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
Reply:I really like If you Could See what I See. It's kind of old - but the tune is simple and easy to play - awesome in guitar.
Reply:Not a good idea unless you are Don Henley or Sting, you get the idea. If you need something easy this means you aren't a singer and probably shouldn't be subjecting people to this torment. good luck.
Reply:i think the perfect wedding song is amazed by lonestar and its very easy to sing, if not that what about my girl, its easy and i think it would also be a good song to have sung to u o your wedding day.
Reply:How about Edwin McCain's - I could not ask for more.
He wrote it for his wife when he was getting married and sang it to her at thier wedding.
It talks about how she is all he has waited for and that he could not ask for more
Reply:Billy Joel - She's always a woman...I know it's not the "mushiest" love song by far....but my hubby always sings it to me and it means alot more than the cliche...ohh baby i love you dont leave me stuff

Reply:Depending on your age, this might be a little too old for ya, but Follow you Follow Me , its an '80's Genesis song. Also, congratulations and Best Wishes.
Reply:Ginuwine - "My Whole Life Has Changed"
Reply:Making memories of us by Keith Urban. He sang this song to Nicole Kidman at their wedding. Your friend can easily play guitar to this. I think it is so sweet you are doing this. I am singing to my husband to be too. Best Wishes. Here are the lyrics....
I'm gonna be here for you baby
And I'll be a man of my own word
Speak the language in a voice that you have never heard
I wanna sleep with you forever
And I wanna die in your arms
In a cabin by a meadow where the wild bees swarm
(Chorus:)
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust making memories of us
I wanna honor your mother
And I wanna learn from your pa'
I wanna steal your attention like a bad outlaw
And I wanna stand out in a crowd for you
A man among men
I wanna make your world better than it's ever been
Chorus
We'll follow the rainbow
Wherever the four winds blow
And there'll be a new day
Comin' your way
I'm gonna be here for you from now on
This you know somehow
You've been stretched to the limits but it's alright now
And I'm gonna make you this promise
If there's life after this
I'm gonna be there to meet you with a warm, wet kiss
Yes I am
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you
And I'll earn your trust makin' memories of us
Ohhh
And I'm gonna love you like nobody loves you baby
And I'll win your trust makin memories of us
Mmmmm
Ohhhhhhhh Oh Baby Mmmmmmm
Reply:Oh.. I'm a woman and the thing that would get right to my heart is "You are the wind beneath my wings." You are so sweet to want to do this. Even if you can't carry a tune, it will mean a lot to her. Enjoy your new life with your best friend.
And, during your reception, say this to her. "I pray that 20 years from now, we look back on this day and remember thinking that we loved each other the most. Now I look back and realize that was the day we loved each other the least."
Never let any other person ruin your marriage just for one weak moment. Stay true to her and love her more than you love yourself.
