What's your ideal 'wedding day song'?

Do you think it should be a soft song or anything but that? What if you wanted an ubeat song that wasn't 'normal' for a wedding song? You should have what you want, right? Or be traditional?

What's your ideal 'wedding day song'?
Jesu, Song of Man's Desiring.
Reply:i believe u should pick a song u like, whether is soft and slow or loud and fast. i prefer the soft and slow songs

soft and slow:

i wanna be your man--(off the love %26amp; basketball soundtrack)

endless love--diana ross

come away with me--norah jones

Upbeat:

promise ring--tiffany evans
Reply:I think it can be whatever you want it to be! I have seen couples dance to hip-hop and also to waltzes.

Four songs I personally love are:

Someone Like You - Van Morrison

True Companion - Marc Cohn

Book Of Love - Peter Gabriel

Lovely Day - Bill Withers

All are breathtaking and beautiful and any one of them would make a perfect wedding song!
Reply:You should definitely pick what YOU and of course your fiance want, you only get to have a wedding once, (hopefully, he he) so don't let "tradition" or other people's opinions...I know that this can be hard, esp. when your family is giving you all sorts of "opinions", but stand firm and pick whatever song will make you happiest at the moment you're dancing...on that note I won't give you a song idea, b/c my opinion doesn't matter, only yours does! Have a great wedding and a great life together!
Reply:"At Last" By Etta James or "Be the Man" by IL Divo
Reply:Poison by Alice Cooper!

Naaah I'm joking...

I'd have Fix You by Coldplay, or if it was with my current boyfriend our song, which is The Lovecats by The Cure would have to get played obviously!
Reply:I think it should be whatever the couple wants. It doesn't have to be a slow song.
Reply:hammer time
Reply:hahahaha.

I was just thinking of slow songs for this and the first thing that popped into my minnd was the song almost lover.

Goodbye my almost lover,

goodbye my hopeless dream,

i'm tryin not to think about you,

can't you just let me be?

So long my luckless romance,

my back is turned on you,

should've known you'd bring me heartache,

almost lovers always do.

haha i love to sing that song, it's so pretty! but probably not for a wedding..
Reply:You should have whatever suits you as a couple! If %26amp; when my man %26amp; I get married our song will be Without You by Motley Crue!!
Reply:Up to the person, but i'm loving justin timberlakes song "until the end of time" modern and traditional at the same time.
Reply:the very thought of you -by natalie cole
Reply:a song by jaheim and maybe a luther song or an oldie but goodie song --those are some of the best love ballads ever! pls belive....

i think you should have what you want but after all that is you and your soon to be husband special day and it's whatever rocks your boat. beleive me others will either complain or accept it. no matter what just play something with class and make sure it's appropriate for the young and old ears.

upbeat songs should really be played at the reception where everyone invited can get their groove and boogie on. feel me....(smiles)
Reply:John B, thats a good one! :)

You too, Caroline. I love that song by A Fine Frenzy.

I like We Belong Together by Mariah Carey
Reply:A Fun Song: Say Anything- Wow! I Can Get Sexual Too

A Slow Song: Rachel Yamagata- Be Be Your Love

A Fast Song: Cascada- Everytime We Touch
Reply:flying without wings- westlife

or

we belong together- gavin degraw
Reply:Bubbly, by Colbie Caillat
Reply:"She Blinded Me With Science"
Reply:A blink-182 song for sure, probably First Date :)

Reply:I say go for what you want. I don't have a specific song but I figure something that means a lot to both us.
