I'm helping out with a wedding in November of this year. I'm supposed to be looking for wedding songs for a first dance, as well as a father/daughter dance song. The first dance has to have something to do with being friends or even dating for a long time before getting to this final step. The father/daughter dance... well, they've been through some hard times, not speaking, things like that. I need something to showcase their relationship.
I know this is a lot to ask with all these guidelines, but I'm stumped. I'll take a look at anything!

Reply:I got married in Oct 2006. Our first dance song was "You Lift Me Up" by Josh Groban.
When my (then b/f) first heard that song, it brough tears to his eyes.
You have time. I would advise that when you listen to the radio, keep a piece of paper close by. When you hear a possible song you like, write it down. I had about 30 to my list.

Reply:For the bride and groom's first dance, there is a song called I Finally Found Someone by Bryan Adams and Barbara Streisand. I'm not a big fan of hers, BUT a great selection would be Stay With You by John Legend. It's a beautiful song and it speaks the truth about relationships. Hope this helps!
