I LOVE that song..but when my mom listened to it she said that the first dance song should be about the both of us and that it was selfish for me to want that as our wedding song....the lyrics fit me..and my fiance loves the song...please look at the lyrics and tell me your honest opinion!!! thank youuu

Reply:I checked out the lyrics and i have to say as they are beautiful words I agree with your mom, maybe you can have the DJ dedicate it to your fiance later in the day. You need to pick a song that describes the love you have for each other. It will be a song that will bring a smile to each of you when ever you hear it. Good luck
Reply:its one of my favourite songs, the lyrics are fitting and IF your fiance likes the song then no worries, but your mum does have a point the song is very one-sided. the only wedding i've been to where a song was so one-sided was many years ago and the song was 'amanda' which was the bride's name. there were a few raised eyebrows from the guests over that, the only one that thought it worked was the bride.

If your fiance or mom really hate it, there are tons of other great country songs that could be for a first dance. I also love Lost in the Moment by Big %26amp; Rich. But ultimately it is your %26amp; your fiance's choice!
