Wedding song in four parts harmony?

I'm getting married next year and have four friends who are all singers in a choral group. I've asked them to sing at our wedding and we are trying to find a song. Can you help?

Wedding song in four parts harmony?
what type are you looking for?! secular or non? acopella? do you have ANY thoughts?!

i would always find my best 4 part at a music teachers supply store.

who do you and your finacee enjoy?
Reply:You can get so many different arrangements of songs that if you look hard enough you can get anything with a 4 part harmony. Have you asked the choral group for any suggestions? I was in a choir for a few years and we did a beautiful arrangement of 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkly Square' that I believe was in 4 parts (although it was for an upper voice choir, not Sop, Alto, Tennor, Bass).

I would research local choirs and see if they have anything that you like and is within the capabilities of your friends. Maybe your friends have a few suggestions too? Congratulations!
Reply:Oh - I have the most beautiful song.... O My Luve's Like A Red, Red Rose....

If you don't like that then how about Soave sia il vento from Cosi Fan Tutte... it's a trio - but if you put it could still work

Or... the Humming Chorus from Madama Butterfly would be the most wonderful song for walking down the aisle.... oh I wish I had done that now!!! But only if the singers are REALLY good singers... this is a surprisingly hard piece to make sound good.

Ok this silly site won't let me add links to these songs, but if you go to YouTube and then copy and paste the following into the search bar...

- O, My Luve's Like A Red, Red Rose

- Cosi fan tutte: trio- Soave sia il vento (Solti)

- André Rieu, Humming chorus from Madame Butterfly
Reply:Devoted to You - the Everly Brothers

Ave Maria by Julie Rogers - NOT the classical one, lyrics are here, melody is lovely and adaptable to harmonies -
