What would be a nice song to walk down the isle to for the bride instead of the traditional wedding march?

Everyone keeps saying the Jamie Foxx wedding Vow song, but I can't find it. I have even heard the song by Shai called Together Forever that goes......

if you say

that u love me

won't u stay with me

for always

because your smile

is what keeps me going

thru all the hard times

and we'll be together forever

again

we'll be together forever

just u and me

I'll be with u until the end of time

What do you suggest?

What would be a nice song to walk down the isle to for the bride instead of the traditional wedding march?
Live orchestral (or at least Piano, Violin and/or Cello). You could go cheaper and hire a few college students to play for you, students almost always need the extra cash. The should also be able to suggest several songs that they are familiar with, that would be nice. Especially if they are all in the same class together.Very classy.

For my wedding I think I would like to have the instrumental version of "kissing you" from the Romeo %26amp; juliet soundtrack.
Reply:I am getting married in a few months and We cant decide between Edwin Mccain's "I'll be" or "I could not ask for more" but they are both awesome songs! Report Abuse

Reply:I personally prefer instrumental music. Suggestions:

Canon in D (Pachelbel)

Trumpet Voluntary

Pathetique 2nd Mov't (Beethoven)

Something Celtic, maybe soundtrack music from "Lord of the Rings"
Reply:i used pachelbel's canon in d. beautiful, classic %26amp; isn't the wedding march song, which i don't like.
Reply:First a little history on "the wedding March" it is from the opera the mariage of figgaro. Figgaro was a person no one liked and his future brothers in law took him out the night before his wedding, got him drunk and married him off to a prostitute. The wedding march was the tune used when the prositute walked down the isle. I would suggest God of our fathers for a more traditional ceremony or the hallelula chorus. For a more contemporary ceremony whatever "your" song is will be just fine, its about you two no one else.
Reply:This Very Moment by K-Ci %26amp; Jo-Jo. I believe the lyrics go:

I can't believe it's true

I'm standin' here in front of you

And you are here with me

So unbelievable

I'd never ever let you go

My heart is yours for keeps

Let's make a vow (Let's make a vow, baby)

Right here and now (Here and now)

This is the day that I prayed for

And you are the girl of my dreams

And my place in life is right here by your side

On this day (On this day)

This very moment (This very moment, oh)

Today it's you and I

We celebrate a brand new life

That God has given us

Until the end of time

I'll hold your precious hand in mine

A promise you can treasure

We said the words (We said the words, “I do”), “I do”

Forever all my love for you {Oh...} (For you)

This is the day that I prayed for {I prayed for}

And you are the girl of my dreams {You are the girl of my dreams}

And my place in life {Ooh...} is right here by your side

On this day {From this day, yeah...}

My heart and soul will beat

This day was meant to be {Oh...oh...oh...}

I need you desperately

Through all eternity (Through all eternity)

So perfect and (Oh) so right (So right)

I vow to share my life

I'll be here by (By) your side

From now on

This is the day that I prayed for (This is the day)

And you are the girl of my dreams (You're the girl of my dreams)

And my place in life {Yeah, yeah, yeah} is right here by your side {By your side}

On this day {On this day}

This very moment {This very moment} (Ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...)

This very moment (Very moment)

This very moment

I can't believe it's true

I'm standin' here in front of you

And you are here with me

This very moment
Reply:3 Times A Lady.
Reply:I used "Gabriel's Oboe" played on violin by one of my best friends. It was beautiful.
Reply:you should do what u feel comfortable with maby a song that is special to u and your significant other
Reply:Pachelbel's Canon
Reply:I have not heard that song. Are you familiar with "The Rose" by Bette Midler? It is a nice slow song so that you don't have to run down the isle. Since the song is about future love you might just want the music but it is beautiful music, played on piano. Best of luck.

By the way CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
Reply:Classical music Ode to Joy I believe it may be by Bach
Reply:Pachelbel's Canon

Or....just a fun classical piece Or....any thing by Frank Sinatra
Reply:isle=island

aisle=what you're walking down on your wedding day
Reply:I say the song that was playing when you guys met. You know your special song. Make it more personal to you guys.
Reply:I photographed more than 500 weddings ... my favorite was always Pachelbel.
Reply:How about paraniod by Black Sabbath??, just for something different!!!
Reply:Ode to Joy is from Beethoven's ninth symphony, fourth movement if I remember. Most commonly a recessional.

The organist played it as my wife and I left the church.
Reply:Love and Happiness by Al Green
Reply:I absolutely love the song, At Last. It has been redone by many people including Celine Dion. The lyrics are beautiful explaining that your loneliness is over and you have found true love at last. Check it out...It's the song I would choose.
Reply:Valentine by Martina McBride Really beautiful and perfect for a wedding.
Reply:I have always liked classical songs and instrumental versions. IMO, something with words takes away from the moment.
Reply:My husband and I walked down the aisle (met each other halfway, actually, to symbolize our pledge to meet each other halfway on the issues of married life) to the tune "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?" It was really beautiful and pretty unique. We came down to just the music, but the lyrics of the song are great, too.
Reply:I say something beautiful and soothing.

1. Panchebel "Cannon in D"

2. Debussy "Claire DE lune"

3. Josh Gorban "When you say you love me"

4. Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"

5. Josh Groban :I want to spend my lifetime loving you" with Tina Arena
