What would be a good song to sing for my dads wedding??

my dad is getting married and he wants me to sing at his wedding. Whats a good song for a 14 year old to sing???? thanks..

What would be a good song to sing for my dads wedding??
I sang at my dad's wedding, and he asked me to sing "All I ask of you" from Phantom of the Opera, "Evergreen" (sung by Barbra Streisand in the movie "A Star is Born") and "The Wedding Song" ("He is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts...")

Those are all older, but might give you some ideas. I like "One hand, one heart" from "West Side Story." A good music store will have dozens of books of wedding solos. Some even come with accompaniment CDs. I have one like that I have used when there was no piano or organ.

Good luck!

Reply:Two theme songs come to mind sweetie: the first would be the theme song from " The Princess Bride " Mark Knoppler created a beautiful fairy tale love song in that.

The second would be the theme for "Married With Children" at the reception only! It should go over well.

Whatever song you pick... my suggestion or another; sing it like no one is there but your dad and his bride because this sounds like a memory to me. A memory for a couple to return to in old age. Sing it with your heart in their hands.

Good luck darlin and God bless your song.
Reply:I Say a Little Prayer for You...This song was featured in the movie My Best Friend's Wedding. A beautiful one!! Good Luck with whatever you decide to sing!!
Reply:Butterfly Kisses is a great song-- but NOT for YOU to sing!!

You don't let us know if this is just a "special" or is it in part of the ceremony. That would make a difference. But two good "specials would be "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Daddy's Little Girl".
Reply:if your reeeeally good then try: Because You Loved Me, By Celien Deion
Reply:"someone like you" by van morrison. It's used at the end of Bridget Jone's Diary to sum up the re-union and kissing scene.

"someone like you makes it all worthwhile, some exactly like you"
Reply:I think the name of the song is "I can't breathe without you"
Reply:Butterfly Kisses by Jeff Carson!!! it is a great song!! Its on many cds. one of the cds its on is Ultimate Wedding Hits and there are other songs on there too to check out!!Im 14 too and i luv that song!!
