Wedding Song dedicated to my deceased father?? Any ideas??

I am planning my wedding and I need a good song to dedicate to my father who passed away...HELP

Wedding Song dedicated to my deceased father?? Any ideas??
A Dozen Red Roses - Tammy Graham

(My father died before my sister's wedding and this song had us both absolutely bawling)

A dozen red roses

In a simple bouquet

Arrived at the church

On her wedding day

The bridesmaids gathered 'round her

The Last details done

But a dozen red roses

Who could they be from?

The moment was close now

The church filled with light

She stood like a picture

In a glow of white.

All her friends awaiting

The music softly playing

Yet, she reached for the roses

On the table where they lay.

Then from the roses

She picked up an envelope

Her hand was guided by her heart

And for every rose

A single teardrop fell

As she lifted her veil and slowly read the card:

"You're in your room sleeping

As I write these words

I know you won't read them

till years from now"

"God will call me home soon

I'll miss your wedding day,

So your mom will keep

This note to send

With a rose bouquet"

"So take one of these roses

To hold in your hand

And I will be beside you,

As Always,

Love Dad"

Reply:father and daughter by paul simon it is beautiful my dad and i danced to it at my wedding. here are the lyrics

If you leap awake

In the mirror of a bad dream

And for a fraction of a second

You can't remember where you are

Just open your window

And follow your memory upstream

To the meadow in the mountain

Where we counted every falling star

I believe the light that shines on you

Will shine on you forever

And though I can't guarantee

There's nothing scary hiding under your bed

I’m gonna stand guard

Like a postcard of a Golden Retriever

And never leave till I leave you

With a sweet dream in your head

I'm gonna watch you shine

Gonna watch you grow

Gonna paint a sign

So you'll always know

As long as one and one is two

There could never be a father

Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Trust your intuition

It's just like going fishing

You cast your line

And hope you'll get a bite

But you don't need to waste your time

Worrying about the market place

Try to help the human race

Struggling to survive its harshest night

I'm gonna watch you shine

Gonna watch you grow

Gonna paint a sign

So you'll always know

As long as one and one is two

There could never be a father

Who loved his daughter more than I love you

I'm gonna watch you shine

Gonna watch you grow

Gonna paint a sign

So you'll always know

As long as one and one is two

There could never be a father

Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Reply:these are oldies but i really like them and although i cry for my Dad when i hear them they are beautiful, one is Youre a Big Girl Now by the Stylistics and Daddy's Home I am not quite sure who sings this one but it says he's not a thousand miles away , i just remember my dad when i hear them
Reply:The one song that I would dedicate to my father who is also passed away would be Because You Loved Me. By Celine Dion. :)
Reply:Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler

This was sung at my brother's funeral as well as at my wedding in his honor and everyone was crying.

BETTE MIDLER LYRICS

"Wind Beneath My Wings"

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

It must have been cold there in my shadow,

to never have sunlight on your face.

You were content to let me shine, that's your way.

You always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,

while you were the one with all the strength.

A beautiful face without a name for so long.

A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,

and everything I would like to be?

I can fly higher than an eagle,

'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,

but I've got it all here in my heart.

I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.

I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?

You're everything I wish I could be.

I could fly higher than an eagle,

'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Did I ever tell you you're my hero?

You're everything, everything I wish I could be.

Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,

'cause you are the wind beneath my wings,

'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, the wind beneath my wings.

You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.

Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,

so high I almost touch the sky.

Thank you, thank you,

thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.
