Im looking for the name of a wedding song, or if anyone knows of a website of where it is, or where to find it, that would be helpful.
It tells the story of someones marriage, and has the tune to "Morning has Broken"
Thanks
Im looking for a specific wedding song?
The only other songs to the tune of "morning has broken" I know of are:
Child in a Manger, Infant of Mary
This Day God Gives Me
Christ Be Beside Me
The tune is a traditional Gaelic/Scottish tune Bunessen written for a small island in Scotland.
If you have heard another version it is probably something someone locally wrote new lyrics to. You should contact the church where you heard it, or contact the bride who had it in their wedding.

What would be a good song for me and my step dad to dance to at my wedding?
My step dad has been a part of my life for the past 8 years and I need a good song for me and him to dance to at my wedding. The song I picked out for me and my dad is Daddy's Hands, its a country song. And the song I thought about for me and my step dad was Hero by Maria Carey. Just looking for some suggestions.
What would be a good song for me and my step dad to dance to at my wedding?
What a lucky problem to love them both so much. How about wind beneath my wings by bette midler (and probably by others but I love her version)....if you are not familliar with it it is available on line I am sure. The words are sweet, won't take away from your fathers song with you but will say how much your step dad means to you and also has the line you are my hero in it, take a listen, see what you think, it is from the movie beaches, which if you haven't seen is the one movie I can watch over and over and cry like a baby everytime!!!! good luck!!!!!
Reply:I just recently got married in June 06, I had the same problem, what song to dance to with my step-father. We danced to Isn't She lovely by Stevie Wonder. We held hands a little and then danced more in a fun way. This song was more appropriate because he is not my real father, but he was just as important to me. I would of chose Butterfly Kisses and Daddy's Little Girl, but when you hear the lyrics it's very emotional. Imagine your father singing to you. So that is why I chose Isn't She Lovely.
Good Luck and best wishes to you!!!!!!!!!
Reply:My dad didn't walk me down the aisle when I got married (he chose not to come)....however, someone very imortant in my life that has always been there for me did, my grandfather. I looked forever to find the perfect song too. I stumbled across a song by Colin Raye that was wonderful called " I wish I could"...check it out:
Wish I Could
(Tom Douglas/Randy Thomas)
Looking out my window
See you playing in the leaves
It's amazing how a little girl
Means all the world to me
When I tell you that I love you
I love you more than words can say
Smile, say cheese pretty-please
I wanna take your picture
How'd you ever get so big
I gotta take your picture
Hold on to the memory before the whole thing slips away
I wish I could save these moments
And put 'em in a jar
I wish I could stop the world from turning
Keep things just the way they are
I wish I could shelter you from everything
Not pure and sweet and good
I know I can't, I know I can't
But I wish I could
When you kiss me for no reason
It goes straight to my heart
When I feel your arms around me
I almost fall apart
It's time for bed you whisper
Daddy, we forgot to pray
I wish I could save these moments
And put 'em in a jar
I wish I could stop the world from turning
Keep things just the way they are
I wish I could shelter you from everything
Not pure and sweet and good
I know I can't, I know I can't
But I wish I could
And when I watch you sleeping
All my worries fade away
A little bit of heaven glows on your angelic face
I wish I could save these moments
And put 'em in a jar
I wish I could stop the world from turning
Keep things just the way they are
I wish I could shelter you from everything
Not pure and sweet and good
I know I can't, I know I can't
I know I can't
But I wish I could
I hope it helps....if not you, maybe someone else. I just think its nice to have something unique that isn't heard at every wedding you go to. Good luck.
Reply:I love My Wish by Rascal Flatts. It a very nice song for a stepparent to dance to. Just a thought, but if you have Daddy's Hands for your Dad, and Hero for your stepdad, your Dad might be a little bit hurt. I don't know if they have a good relationship or not, but it might cause problems. Just a thought.
Reply:I think that some of these songs would be good for your first dance with your husband and stepdad and maybe even walking down the aisle.

Wedding song dedication to very special Mom from daughter?
My Mom passed away 13 years ago and I am getting married this year, I would like to dedicate a song in her honor, she is very much loved and remembered everyday and I want more than anything for her to be here that day.. something really nice but nothing too sappy or depressing......?. People called her "an angel on earth"
Wedding song dedication to very special Mom from daughter?
The song that I would pick would be "Isn't she lovely" by Stevie Wonder. I lost my dad nearly 24 years ago, but he is still with me, I still talk to him and I still love him and miss him as much today as when he passed away and I am sure that you feel the same about your Mom. She is also with you, and within your heart, and is still watching over you. It is okay for you to say out loud that you love her, because she is there, just invisible to you for now. It is also okay, if you wish to put up a photo of her in lieu of her being there. When my brother got married last year, that is what they did, put up pictures from both sides of the parents and photos of the bride and groom as kids. Good luck in your life.

Does an angel contemplate my fate
And do they know
The places where we go
When were grey and old
cos I have been told
That salvation lets their wings unfold
So when Im lying in my bed
Thoughts running through my head
And I feel the love is dead
Im loving angels instead
And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether Im right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life wont break me
When I come to call she wont forsake me
Im loving angels instead
When Im feeling weak
And my pain walks down a one way street
I look above
And I know Ill always be blessed with love
And as the feeling grows
She breathes flesh to my bones
And when love is dead
Im loving angels instead
And through it all she offers me protection

Need help adding metal music to wedding reception song list?
I have a list of music picked for my wedding, however my hubby-to-be LOVES metal, heavy metal, death metal, etc and I need some help with songs I can add to my list so he enjoys our reception too! I like metal too, but not as much as him, thats why its so hard for me to find songs that would be good to add to the list, I don't wanna freak out our guests but I want my hubby to be happy as well. Any song/artist suggestions will be highly appreciated!!!
Need help adding metal music to wedding reception song list?
I've been wrestling with how I get some of my fave bands into my playlists, too.
First, you might want to ask him to help you come up with this list. But for some suggestions, I say steer clear of the Death Metal. And here are some other ideas:
Metallica "Battery"
Black Sabbath "War Pigs" (just a fun sing-along kinda song!)
Ozzy Osborne "Breaking All The Rules"
Judas Priest "You've Got Another Thing Coming"
If you want to make him laugh ... Ozzy Osborne has a cover of the Bee Gees "Stayin' Alive". It is SOOO funny, I bet anyone that doesn't know Ozzy will think its just a cover!!!
And please, please, PLEASE do not play "November Rain" at your wedding. I love Gn'R and that song is so NOT appropriate for a wedding.
Some rockin' hair-band/ classic rock, but not really metal songs:
Guns N' Roses "Think About You"
Kiss "New York Groove" (totally dance-able)
Alice Cooper "Billion Dollar Babies" or "Schools Out" (not really applicable for a wedding, but alot of people know it!)
Aerosmith "Rag Doll" or "Sweet Emotion"
Motley Crue "Dr. Feelgood" or if you wanna have some fun you could play "Girls, Girls, Girls".
Any Led Zepplin would be good.
And if your guy likes Alice Cooper, make him slow-dance to "You and Me". My fiance couldn't believe it was an Alice song until I showed him the album!
Reply:Sorry, TYPO!!
Thanks so much everyone! I have my playlist wrote up so that the heavier stuff is later on in the reception *most will be drunk by then* and I have placed the heavier songs in between softer songs so its not back to back metal songs! Report Abuse
Reply:Just a suggestion, and while I know the reception is supposed to be about letting your hair down a little, but have you considered string quartet covers? There are a series of albums by a string quartet (actually I think there may be two different quartets) that cover bands like Tool and Metallica and a few others, some of the tracks are stunning and are pleasant enough to not freak people out.

Reply:The reception is a party you are throwing for your guests to celebrate with you. Can he not listen to metal for a few hours? I love metal, but death metal at a reception is ridiculous.
Reply:I agree with Cass. Leave the metal out of your playlist. I'm sure your fiance can stand it for a few hours. Reception music is intended to keep the guests entertained. If the majority of your guests are family, particularly older people, then I'd leave it out altogether. Plan an "after party" at a bar or club that plays the kind of music you like, and then you, your bridal party and any of the younger guests and family members who want to party til dawn can do so.
I work at a restaurant that does wedding receptions, and I'll never forget this one reception: the bride and groom hired a bar band they loved to play for their wedding. During the planning they kept going on and on about how great this band was. I stopped in to check on the wedding shortly after dinner, and the scene was tragic. The band showed up wearing exactly what they would wear to play at the bar--ripped jeans and black t shirts. All the guests were wearing formal attire. Most of the guests had already left, and the ones who stayed were sitting there trying to converse over the music. They were NOT a cover band, so they weren't even playing songs people knew and NO ONE was dancing. The bride was completely oblivious. She came up to me and said "Aren't they great?" It was like the entire wedding was about her scoring this great bar band.

Wedding Song dedicated to my deceased father?? Any ideas??
A Dozen Red Roses - Tammy Graham
(My father died before my sister's wedding and this song had us both absolutely bawling)
A dozen red roses
In a simple bouquet
Arrived at the church
On her wedding day
The bridesmaids gathered 'round her
The Last details done
But a dozen red roses
Who could they be from?
The moment was close now
The church filled with light
She stood like a picture
In a glow of white.
All her friends awaiting
The music softly playing
Yet, she reached for the roses
On the table where they lay.
Then from the roses
She picked up an envelope
Her hand was guided by her heart
And for every rose
A single teardrop fell
As she lifted her veil and slowly read the card:
"You're in your room sleeping
As I write these words
I know you won't read them
till years from now"
"God will call me home soon
I'll miss your wedding day,
So your mom will keep
This note to send
With a rose bouquet"
"So take one of these roses
To hold in your hand
And I will be beside you,
As Always,
Love Dad"

Reply:father and daughter by paul simon it is beautiful my dad and i danced to it at my wedding. here are the lyrics
If you leap awake
In the mirror of a bad dream
And for a fraction of a second
You can't remember where you are
Just open your window
And follow your memory upstream
To the meadow in the mountain
Where we counted every falling star
I believe the light that shines on you
Will shine on you forever
And though I can't guarantee
There's nothing scary hiding under your bed
I’m gonna stand guard
Like a postcard of a Golden Retriever
And never leave till I leave you
With a sweet dream in your head
I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you
Trust your intuition
It's just like going fishing
You cast your line
And hope you'll get a bite
But you don't need to waste your time
Worrying about the market place
Try to help the human race
Struggling to survive its harshest night
I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you
I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you
btw very sorry for your loss. you can probably go to rhapsody.com/paulsimon and listen to the song for free

Reply:Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler
This was sung at my brother's funeral as well as at my wedding in his honor and everyone was crying.
BETTE MIDLER LYRICS
"Wind Beneath My Wings"
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.
So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.
Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Did I ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.

Wedding Song dedicated to my deceased father?? Any ideas??
A Dozen Red Roses - Tammy Graham
(My father died before my sister's wedding and this song had us both absolutely bawling)
A dozen red roses
In a simple bouquet
Arrived at the church
On her wedding day
The bridesmaids gathered 'round her
The Last details done
But a dozen red roses
Who could they be from?
The moment was close now
The church filled with light
She stood like a picture
In a glow of white.
All her friends awaiting
The music softly playing
Yet, she reached for the roses
On the table where they lay.
Then from the roses
She picked up an envelope
Her hand was guided by her heart
And for every rose
A single teardrop fell
As she lifted her veil and slowly read the card:
"You're in your room sleeping
As I write these words
I know you won't read them
till years from now"
"God will call me home soon
I'll miss your wedding day,
So your mom will keep
This note to send
With a rose bouquet"
"So take one of these roses
To hold in your hand
And I will be beside you,
As Always,
Love Dad"

Reply:father and daughter by paul simon it is beautiful my dad and i danced to it at my wedding. here are the lyrics
If you leap awake
In the mirror of a bad dream
And for a fraction of a second
You can't remember where you are
Just open your window
And follow your memory upstream
To the meadow in the mountain
Where we counted every falling star
I believe the light that shines on you
Will shine on you forever
And though I can't guarantee
There's nothing scary hiding under your bed
I’m gonna stand guard
Like a postcard of a Golden Retriever
And never leave till I leave you
With a sweet dream in your head
I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you
Trust your intuition
It's just like going fishing
You cast your line
And hope you'll get a bite
But you don't need to waste your time
Worrying about the market place
Try to help the human race
Struggling to survive its harshest night
I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you
I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Does anyone know who sings this country wedding song?
The song says something like " if you wanna be in my wedding all you have to do is say yes" and then it says " you would be the center of attention"
Does anyone know who sings this country wedding song?
I just did a search for country wedding songs and I came across the one that you're looking for. It's called: Say Yes. The artist is Dusty Drake. Hope it helps!
Reply:I tried to research it, but came up empty-handed. I would suggest calling a local country station and asking the deejay. I don't think I've ever heard that one.
Reply:I am sorry but I also researched the song though Google and on several song lyrics websites and I come up blank also. I took the suggestion of the last comment and called a radio station here and they had no idea what it was either. Do you know if it is a newer song or older? Do you have any idea of who sings it? You have me stumped! Good question....

Don't go changing, to try and please me
You never let me down before
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore
I wouldn't leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far
I took the good times, I'll take the bad times
I'll take you just the way you are
Don't go trying some new fashion
Don't change the color of your hair
You always have my unspoken passion
Although I might not seem to care
I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are.
I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew
What will it take 'till you believe in me
The way that I believe in you.
I said I love you, and that's forever
And this I promise from the heart
I could not love you any better

There's two things I know for sure:
She was sent here from heaven and she's
daddy's little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night
She talks to Jesus and I close my eyes and
I thank god for all the joy in my life
Oh, but most of all
For butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer;
sticking little white flowers all up in her
hair; "Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried."
In all that I've done wrong I know I must
have done something right to deserve a hug
every morning and butterfly kisses at night.
Sweet 16 today
She's looking like her mama a little more everyday
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and make-up from ribbons and curls
Trying her wings out in a great big world.
But I remember
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer; sticking
little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you, Daddy, But if you
don't mind I'm only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time."
With all that I've done wrong I must have done
something right to deserve her love every morning
and butterfly kisses at night.
All the precious time
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly.
Spread your wings and fly.
She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride-room just staring at her.
She asked me what I'm thinking and I said "I'm not
sure-I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl."
She leaned over...gave me butterfly kisses with her mama there,
Sticking little white flowers all up in her hair
"Walk my down the aisle, Daddy-it's just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, Daddy? Daddy, don't cry!"
Oh, with all that I've done wrong I must have
done something right.
To deserve your love every morning and butterfly
kisses-I couldn't ask God for more, man this is what love is.
I know I gotta let her go, but I'll always remember
every hug in the morning and butterfly kisses.

She was sent here from heaven and she's

I thank god for all the joy in my life

What is a good recessional song for a wedding?
My wedding is in 9 days and I still have no clue what song to play for the recessional. Help!
What is a good recessional song for a wedding?
LOOK HERE! http://ultimatewedding.com/music/categor...
It'll be wonderful, much happiness!
Reply:For my wedding in Sept. we are walking out to "All You Need is Love" by Paul McCartney.
Reply:I played "Beautiful Day" by U2
Reply:Play any favorite song of you and your man. If you want to be traditional you can go with something classical.
Reply:At first, I thought you misspelled "Processional", but thanks the Wikipedia, I learned that there is a Processional at the beginning and a Recessional at the end. Who knew? Apparently not me! LOL
At any rate, Wikipedia lists the traditional choices for both on their website... If you like traditional, that's an option.
Reply:I really, really, like Greensleeves. It's very lighthearted, pretty, and makes you feel good. You could go with an instrumental version, or with someone singing (I like the version with Loreena McKennitt, but that's just me)
Reply:How about "Linus and Lucy" it is the song Snoopy dances to on all the Peanuts specials. My brother and sister-in-law used it. Very joyful and happy.
Reply:I had a Catholic wedding, we used "The Trumpet Voluntary." Very regal, very upbeat.
Reply:I actually am a DMB fan, so I did "Ants Marching," which is not really lyrically a great wedding song, but it was energetic and got people upbeat and ready for the cocktail hour.

Would you use the same wedding ceremony song as your separated parents?
My mom and Dad separated over 12 years ago. I was thinking of using the same song that was played at their wedding ceremony in 1984...both parents say they don't mind..has anyone else done this?
Would you use the same wedding ceremony song as your separated parents?
i wouldn't want to dance to a song that my seperated parents danced to.
Reply:It sounds like a good idea, but with so many beautiful songs available to you both, my suggestion would be to find a song that is truly yours and expresses the unique feelings you and your fiance' share together.
I always refer my brides to the following 2 websites when they are looking for the perfect song. It details each category and samples of the songs to listen to.

Any suggestions for a unique wedding first dance song?
looking for a first wedding dance song. nothing cheesy, more classic and meaningful, like the beatles, "in my life" things like that. we are both really into classic bands and not very much recent stuff. please no journey or air supply or anything like that haha! something mellow but still romantic and meaningful
Any suggestions for a unique wedding first dance song?
well we are going to dance to

Reply:We had "When you say you love me" by Josh Groban. Very romantic and meaningful. It talks about how when you say you love me the world stands still.
The song is around 4 minutes or so, maybe a little longer...but we had our DJ invite people to join us after a minute or 2.

What are some alternate wedding sons that can be played other than the traditional "Wedding March" song?
I am getting married in September and have yet to decide on the song I want played as I walk down the aisle. I don't want the traditional "Wedding March" song that is usually played at weddings. I am looking for a slow country song. Does any one know some nice country songs that you have heard played at weddings when the bride walks down the aisle?
What are some alternate wedding sons that can be played other than the traditional "Wedding March" song?
Catholic weddings don't allow the traditional 'wedding march'...so I found out when we were meeting with our organist;) Anyway we are using 'Canon in D" by Pachelbel and also 'Trumpet Voluntary in D'- by Clarke, you could also try "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring"-By Bach. These all probably sound unfamiliar by name but when you hear a sample you will totally recognize them. Good Luck to you, I'm taking the plunge on the 14th wish me luck;)......sorry I just read your question where you wanted a country song...my fault for not reading further, anyway there are some suggestions if you don't find one you like.
Reply:I didn't want the wedding march either, so I had my pianist learn to play the beginning of Tesla's "Love Song." It was beautiful.
Reply:I came on this site tonight looking for the same help as you! I'm getting married in October... I can't decide on ANY music. I want a song that isn't so... "played at every wedding" during my service but I can't find the one. I'm leaning towards Endless Love.
I think I'm walking down to... Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach) or Canon in D (Pachebel). For some country songs, I thought of.... Your Everything (Keith Urban) or.. I'll be (Reba-- thats another possibility for me) I cross my heart (George Strait)..... Another possibility, although not country.... Everytime I close my eyes by Babyface.
Reply:i would do gary allen, best i ever had. i'm getting married to dave matthews :)
Reply:When you kiss me - Shania Twain. It's BEAUTIFUL. But there are lots!! What about the new one by Big and Rich "Lost in this Moment"...
Reply:I've always liked Pachelbel's "Canon"
Reply:hi there
if you dont want the usual wedding march (boo hiss!!), simple dont hire a organist. get one of your friends to play a cd you have made up at your wedding.
anyway back to your question, shania twains 'from this moment'
Reply:Pachelbel's Cannon is a popular wedding song, Trumpet Tune, and Trumpet Voluntary are other popular tunes for brides marching in. Who is doing the music for your wedding? They would have suggestions as well. As for a popular country song to walk in to, I am thinking that isn't the best of choices. I am a professional musician, have played at hundreds of weddings and have never had such a song played for a processional. I would come up with something more traditional as you walk in and have the country song for a meditation type thing. Good luck
Reply:Omg , you sound like me !! I hate the traditional stuff . I plan on walking down the aisle to an Avril Lavigne song called Innocence .. I say pick a song that has meaning to it . Something that makes you think of your hubby to be
Reply:I'm walking down the aisle with Endless love by mariah carey and luther vandross. Honey this is the new century you can play any of you favorite slow song.
Reply:My husband and I had an outdoor wedding this past fall and I walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of "You Look Wonderful Tonight" (Eric Clapton), my bridesmaids walked down the aisle to "Annie's Song" by John Denver. (No words for either song, just them music on a guitar.)
I think any song where you like the sentiment would be appropriate, especially if you just have someone play the tune and not sing. It's your wedding, just make it meaningful to you and your husband and that's all that matters!!!!
Reply:Shania Twain - You've got a way.

What song would be a good for a bridal party to walk out to at a wedding reception?
My sister's wedding is in two weeks and I'm the maid of honor. She's trying to a pick a song for the whole wedding party to walk out to when we're introduced. Her and her husband are walking out to Pink - Get This Party Started ... her pick... kinda cute. So I was looking for something fun that we could all walk out to! Any ideas would be awesome!

The Elephant March from the movie Hatari would be really cute and different, especially if it's a larger wedding party.

This is how we do it-Montell Jorden??
If you wanted to do an older song:

What would make a good wedding song?
i want someone to sing at my wedding. i already have the perfect person to do it, with an amazing voice. what would be a good song for her to do. keep in mind that it is a church wedding.
What would make a good wedding song?
Your'e the One by Hallern Hill and Lisa Shipman. Its really cute. It is with a guy and girl singing it to each other...Its sweet too. Buy it on i-tunes and you will see....
"You're The One"
Baby tell me, how did you know?
Was it the first kiss?
No, not the first kiss, it was so much more than that
and baby tell me, how did you know?
Was it the first touch?
No not the first touch, it was so much more than that
I wasn't really sure, so I got down on my knees
and when I talked to God, He said you were right for me...
He says...
You're the one...you're the one
God told me so, that's how I know, and baby that's enough for me
You're the one, ...you're the one
God told me so, that's how I know, that we were meant to be
Baby tell me, what changed your mind?
Was it the diamond?
No, not the diamond, this is so much deeper than that
Baby tell me, what made you change?
Was it your mother?
No, not my mother, she didn't talk me into it
Instead I talked to God, I told Him what I need
He said this one is right, he loves you and he loves Me
You're the one, you're the one

I suggest you talk to your minister/church music director about song choices. They will know what is best.

Forever - we will be
Together - you and me
Oh n' when I hold ya - nothin' can compare

God told me so, that's how I know, that we were meant to be
You're the one, you're the one
God told me so, that is how I know, and baby that's enough for me

There is a song from the movie that Julia is singing with her headphones on right before glen walks in with flowers to basically set a date for their wedding. The song is in another language, I think German, so it's really hard to find that song. Does anybody know the song that I'm talking about?

We plan to have a slideshow at my daughter's wedding with pictures of the bride and groom as they are growing up. We thought about using "I Loved Her First" for the bride's pictures, but are having trouble coming up with a good song for the groom's pictures.

Easy wedding song for my 11 year old daughter to sing.?
My daughter would like to sing a song at my upcoming wedding. She is 11. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Easy wedding song for my 11 year old daughter to sing.?
The Lords Prayer is great put into a song and she just might know the words already!
Congratulations!
Reply:Does your daughter sing solos in public on a regular basis? If she does that's cool, if she doesn't this is a really bad idea. Traditionally someone sings Ave Maria at weddings, not sure if that works for an 11 year old.
Reply:Okay, it's kinda sappy, but how about "Sunrise, Sunset"? The lyrics aren't complicated, nor is the rhythm. Plus, it's a great song about the parent-child relationship, love and the cycle of life.
Reply:how about heavon dj sammy thats my fav sure what she sings will make your day good luck
Reply:She could sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" It's a timeless song and it's got such beautiful lyrics. And I don't think the song is difficult to learn.
Reply:James Taylor's "How Sweet it is" might be a fun upbeat one.
"Can you feel the love tonite" from the Lion King seems very appropriate.
Reply:I sing Butterfly Kisses on different occasions, and I sang Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion at a wedding. Does your daughter have any musical experience? E-mail me. I teach music to small children and i have much musical knowledge. I would be glad to help. bandbabebrit@yahoo.com

There are a little bit of words to it, but by the time you walk down the aisle i don't think you'll have gotten to that point. It's a song that always reminds me of outdoors, nature, etc.
Or...maybe you could find an instrumental version of Elvis Presleys Blue Hawaii...
Or an instrumental version of something sung by the Beach Boys.

Click on the link below for a midi file. I believe you are referring to the "Bridal Chorus" from the opera Lohengrin, by the German composer Richard Wagner. If you are interested in sheet music, one play you can try is sheetmusic.com.

What is a good wedding song about marrying your best friend?
How about Queen's "Your My Best Friend".
Ooo. you make me live
whatever this world can give to me
It's you, you're all I see
Ooo, you make me live now honey
Ooo, you make me live
You're the best friend
that I ever had
I've been with you such a long time
You're my sunshine
And I want you to know
That my feelings are true
I really love you
You're my best friend
Ooo, you make me live
I've been wandering round
But I still come back to you
In rain or shine
You've stood by me girl
I'm happy, happy at home
You're my best friend.
You're the first one
When things turn out bad
You know I'll never be lonely
You're my only one
And I love
The things that you do
You're my best friend
Ooo, you make me live.
I'm happy, happy at home
You're my best friend
You're my best friend
Ooo, you make me live
You, you're my best friend.
What is a good wedding song about marrying your best friend?
I personally love the song by Garth Brooks, "If Tomorrow Never Comes"......The words are so meaningful....but it makes me cry when I hear it almost....if I were to be at a wedding and see this....OMG.... I would cry so bad! (A "good" cry)

And here's the lyrics:
I never had no one
I could count on
Ive been let down so many times
I was tired of hurtin
So tired of searchin
til you walked into my life
It was a feelin
Id never known
And for the first time
I didnt feel alone
Youre more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Everytime I look at you
I dont know where Id be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
Youre my best friend
Youre my best friend, oh yeah
You stand by me
And you believe in me
Like nobody ever has
When my world goes crazy
Youre right there to save me
You make me see how much I have
And I still tremble
When we touch
And oh the look in your eyes
When we make love
Youre more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Everytime I look at you
And I dont know where Id be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
Youre my best friend
Youre my best friend
Youre more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do
Oh we just get closer
I fall in love all over
Everytime I look at you
And I dont know where Id be
Without you here with me
Life with you makes perfect sense
Youre my best friend
Youre my best friend (my best friend)
Youre my best friend (my best friend)
Ooo. you make me live
whatever this world can give to me
It's you, you're all I see
Ooo, you make me live now honey
Ooo, you make me live
You're the best friend
that I ever had
I've been with you such a long time
You're my sunshine
And I want you to know
That my feelings are true
I really love you
You're my best friend
Ooo, you make me live
I've been wandering round
But I still come back to you
In rain or shine
You've stood by me girl
I'm happy, happy at home
You're my best friend.
You're the first one
When things turn out bad
You know I'll never be lonely
You're my only one
And I love
The things that you do
You're my best friend
Ooo, you make me live.
I'm happy, happy at home
You're my best friend
You're my best friend
Ooo, you make me live
You, you're my best friend.
What is a good wedding song about marrying your best friend?
I personally love the song by Garth Brooks, "If Tomorrow Never Comes"......The words are so meaningful....but it makes me cry when I hear it almost....if I were to be at a wedding and see this....OMG.... I would cry so bad! (A "good" cry)

Reply:Does it have to be exactly about MARRYING your best friend? Because a lot of songs make it evident that you're IN LOVE with your best friend, but they don't talk about the actual marriage ceremony in them.
Here are a few I could find.
My Best Friend- Tim McGraw
You're My Best Friend- Queen
I've Dreamed Of You- Barbra Streisand (actually about marrying your best friend)

I never had no one
I could count on
Ive been let down so many times
I was tired of hurtin
So tired of searchin
til you walked into my life
It was a feelin
Id never known
And for the first time
I didnt feel alone
Youre more than a lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do

Youre my best friend, oh yeah
You stand by me
And you believe in me
Like nobody ever has
When my world goes crazy
Youre right there to save me
You make me see how much I have
And I still tremble
When we touch
And oh the look in your eyes
When we make love
Youre more than a lover

I;m writing a fan fic for Twilight and I wanted to know what would be a good wedding song for Bella and Edward
I was thinking of like "Northern Downpour" by Panic! At the Disco, "I Don;t Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith, "Little Moments" by Brad Paisley and "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. If you have any other ideas, though. And I will mention your helping in the fan fic.

Reply:I love the Twilight series and here are the suggestions I have. I think that Lips of an Angel would be really good because they both kind of look at eachother as angels lol. But, if you don't need a song with words, I think Bella's lullaby would be great. What I've found is the perfect song for it is called A River Flows In You by Yiruma. It is just played on the piano and it has pauses in all of the places where they are supposed to be and it is so perfect to the description of the book. It is also a beautiful song. But if you want one with words, I would also recommend looking on iTunes playlists, and there's this one that's like Bella %26lt;3 Edward - Twilight - Jacob or some long title like that. It has a lot of really good songs about Edward and Bella. I hope this helped and Good luck!
Reply:i love a song by john stamos and the beach boys it is called forever. it is gonna be my song when i get married. it is about him wanting to do things just to make her happy, laugh, and smile. it was jesse and beckys wedding song on full house.
but if u want to use one of the ones in ur question i dont think i would go with lips of an angel--although i /LOVE/-- this song it is him singing this to a girl that isnt his girlfriend and not wanting to get caught longing for this other woman.
Reply:Killer by the Hoosier (rofl) only because i have a theory that someone is going to crash the wedding!!! like the volturi andd try to kill bella!!!!!! woop woop!

What is a good Scottish love song for a wedding (to be sung a cappella)?
I need a Scottish love song which can be sung a cappella as a friend of mine walks down the aisle at her wedding (in a Scottish castle). Aae Fond Kiss is the right style but lyrics are about separation, so not particularly apt! Suggestions please anyone?
What is a good Scottish love song for a wedding (to be sung a cappella)?
You need one long enough to let her get down the aisle and that has suitable words and a measure of dignity.

See below in the English translation (and there's the original Gaelic if you need to spin it out a bit :-)
Cailin mo rùin-sa (Dearest my own one) by Donald Ross
Chorus:
Dearest my own one, oh won't you be mine,
Full of devotion, so modest and kind?
My heart's full of longing and yearning for you;
Come close to me, darling --- you know I'll be true.
1. How charming you were, dear, when first in the glen
I made your acquaintance, and ever since then
Without you I'm lonely; none other will do;
Those brown eyes enthralled me --- it had to be you.
2. I'll always remember that evening in May;
We rambled the woodlands and meadows so gay;
The chorus of song birds, how sweet their refrain,
'Midst fragrance of wild flow'rs refreshed by the rain.
3. Do you remember that moment of bliss,
So fondly embracing, the thrill of that kiss?
Since then you are mine, dear, the choice of my heart;
My promise I'll give you, that we'll never part.
Chorus:
Cailin mo rùin-sa is leannan mo ghràidh,
Ainnir mo chridh-sa 's i cuspair mo dhàin.
Tha m'inntinn làn sòlais bhi tilleadh gun dàil,
Gu cailin mo rùin-sa is leannan mo gràidh.
1. B'òg chuir mi eòlas air leannan mo ghràidh,
'S a rinn mise suas ri'sa ghleannan gu h-àrd;
A gnuis tha cho aoidheil, làn gean agus bàigh,
Is mise bhios cianail, mur faigh mi a làmh.
2. Gur tric sinn le chéile gabhail cuairt feadh an àit',
'S a falbh troimh na cluaintean gach bruachag is màgh;
Na h-eoin bheag le smudan a' seinn dhuinn an dàn,
'S toirt fàilte do'n mhaighdinn d'an d'thug mi mo ghràdh.
3. Bha mise làn aoibhneis nuair fhuair mi cheud phòg,
Bho'n chaileig ghrinn uasail tha aighearach òg.
'S e mo mhiann is mo dhùrachd, cho fad 's bhios mi beò,
A bhi pòsd' ris a' ghruagaich tha suairc agus còir.
Reply:Red, Red Rose would be a better choice than Ae Fond Kiss I think.
Reply:Robert Burns - Red Red Rose
I first learned of it when I sang it in Chorus back in high school. There are many diffferent renditions of it and all of them are beautiful - there is a 4 part harmony that we sung.
Oh my luve is like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June:
Oh my luve is like the melodie,
That's sweetly play'd in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonie lass,
So deep in luve am I;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry.
Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun;
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only luve!
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again, my luve,
Tho' it were ten thousand mile!

Does anyone know what the wedding song is about a childs mommy and daddy getting married?
I know this song is very popular for people with children to play at their weddings. It's about a little kids mom and dad getting married. Thank you to anyone that can help.
Does anyone know what the wedding song is about a childs mommy and daddy getting married?
Nitty Gritty Dirt Band did one called "Dance Little Jean"...but I don't think it's the one you're thinking of.
Reply:Yeah it's the song the first guy mentioned here are the lyrics...I'm going to check back because if this isn't the song I'm curious as to what it is.
I played a wedding for the money,
And I wished that I could tell the bride and groom
Just what I thought of marriage
And whats in store after their honeymoon.
And I was grumblin to the dancers
bout how men and women ought to live apart
And how a promise never made can not be broken
And can never break your heart
When suddenly from out of nowhere,
A little girl came dancing cross the floor,
And all her crinolines were billowing
Beneath the skirt of calico that she wore.
Oh what a joy fell on the honored guests
As each of them was drawn inside her dream,
And they laughed and clapped and stomped their feet
And hollered at her dance little jean
Dance, little jean, this day is for you,
Two people you love, stood up and said I do
Dance little jean, the prayer that you had
Was answered today
Your mamas marrying your dad
Well, my cynical heart just melted
cause I knew what this get together meant
How it ended year of tears and sad confusion
That the little girl had spent.
Well they told the band to pack it up
About the time the couple cut the cake,
But we played as long as they stayed
For love and laughs and little jeanies sake.

What is a good contemporary & pop for a wedding song?
My fiance and I would like to dance (for the first dance) a very well known song, something "new" but with a lot of pop-rock sound.
For example Escape by Enrique Iglesias, someone said maybe Smooth by Rob Thomas...any suggestions for this issue. We would like something differente and cool!!
What is a good contemporary %26amp; pop for a wedding song?
Smooth is a really good song...
Reply:Look at most of Lifehouse's songs and also try looking at the billboards website to see about some new stuff.
Reply:you can get mixes of almost any song if you look hard enough.

What is a wedding reception song that is a violin duet?
I need this answered quick because the wedding is in 2 days.
What is a wedding reception song that is a violin duet?
hey...i play the violin and ive done this before.
the best songs would definetly have to be:
-pachelbels canon
-adagio in g (by albinoni)
have fun

The Six Sonatas by LeClair are nice.
If you want easier music, there are three volumes of wedding music for string quartet, but you can easily just play the first and second violin parts, and they sound fine.
