What is a nice wedding but classical song other than Canon in D?

My cousin is getting married and wanted me to play a piece with my violin when they are marching down the hall and they want a classical song. What are there other songs other than Mendelsson's Bridal march or Canon in D? Are there other wedding songs that can be played as a duet on the violin?

Under "Easy Chamber Music" under this link there are three Wedding Albums. These are for string quartet, but the melodies are primarily in the first violin parts, and you will find most of the works suitable for weedings:

If you follow the links, the pages on these works have samples and lists of titles which you may fine helpful.
Reply:There are so many....write to me off line
Reply:the flower duet....or is it called the flower song...
Reply:for the recessional my group usually ended up playing the first movement of Vivaldi's Spring great joyous music, down the aisle a nice 6/8 (a la Barcarole) works very well .. we frequently used the Pastorale movement from the Corelli Christmas concerto
Reply:As the Deer - an old hymn tune

Be Thou My Vision

Reply:A nice piece I am working on right now is called "Trumpet Voluntary, (aka the Prince of Denmark's March)" and I am playing it as the Recessional (meaning, as the wedding party exits the stage).

The tune should sound familiar to many people.

Though the title suggests it is for the trumpet, the piece has been transcribed to many instruments and you shouldn't have much trouble finding a violin version online or at a music store.

Just a short note: the author/writer of this classical piece is not certain. On the music I am playing it says "by Jeremiah Clarke" but music historians also think it could have been by Henry Purcell instead. (Copyright laws either didn't exist or hold much weight back then).
Reply:The Bach/Gounod Ave Maria is really good. I played some of that at a wedding. My friend is playing from Vivaldi's Four Seasons at his brother's wedding. There is a great collection of easy stuff, called Music for Three. I think there's also a Music for Two and a Music for Four. They all come with an optional piano/guitar part. Go to sharmusic, they carry some wedding albums.

Good luck! =)
