I have no idea what songs to use for the wedding party dance or the parents dance.

I can't remember what our mother/son dance song was, but for me %26amp; my dad, we chose together, and it was Celine Dion - Because you loved me.





For our wedding party song, my dj surprised us actually and it was a great idea from her...we asked her to play "you look beautiful tonight" by Eric Clapton, but she told us when we got up there that when the song stops - change partners. So we all started out with who everyone walked down the isle with and me and my husband together and then about 5-10 seconds into the song, she changed it to a fast song and we all had to switch partners real quick. She picked about 7-8 different songs and just kept changing them from fast to slow and every time it changed, we switched again. It was lot's of fun and we got quite a few laughs out of it. Our guests enjoyed seeing us all scatter and then once I even got stuck and couldn't find anyone. It was fun :) Good luck!!

Anyway for the father daughter dance what about something like "Butterfly Kisses" it's a timeless classic, then for mother daughter there is a country song....you might have to search to find the name of it but it's about a mom being everything to the daughter, she brings her cheerios, kisses her boo boos reads her stories, then when she gets older she helps her to find the right guy and with her wedding,and then at the end when the mom is very old the daughter takes care of her...I thinkt he title is something like...somebodys hero.
Reply:For a wedding party dance its more about finding something that reflects your friendships and relationships with those people. A popular selection is the "Friends" theme. Its "I'll be there for you" by the Rembrandt's. As for parents, if it is all biological and everyone is still married, "Remember When?" By Alan Jackson is a great song(even if you don't like country give it a listen). If they're not still together but you want to do a father-stepmother, mother-stepfather etc dance, you might want to talk to them about what they feel is appropriate.

Even though it breaks down the songs into categories for the different dances, some of which you are not planning to include, there are a lot of songs that you may like.
