Is this a good song for a first wedding song?

I was thinking when me and my man had our wedding that I was going to use the song from dirty dancing the song that goes " I had the time of my life and I owe it all to you." Is that agood song or can you guys give me some tips. I tought of it because of our past.

Is this a good song for a first wedding song?
I think if its sentimental to you...you should use it. If the people know about your past with him...the will most likely shed a tear...I think its sweet!!!or

have you ever listened to "God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts...what a nice song...and it always makes me cry...I had The Backstreet Boys..."I promise you"
Reply:I like it............Congrats!!!
Reply:aw I think that song is cute. It will work.
Reply:Sure - that's a great sound - oldie, but goodie
Reply:yeah, I think it's a very good song!!!
Reply:It's really cute but I think it's a little dated, kinda 80's....

There are tons of wedding websites that have a bunch songs for all different kinds of dances..
Reply:Cool, if you are brave enough- do the dance too just a thought.
Reply:in my experience most men hate Dirty Dancing. so your guy may not go with it.

I would suggest picking a classic song vs. something by the pussycat dolls. you want a song you can play for your grandkids one day or something.
Reply:That song totally reminds me of the movie "Dirty Dancing" and I'm not sure if that's the mood you want to set at your wedding.

The most important thing, though, is to select a song that is special to you and your fiance and a song that you won't be embarrased playing for your grandkids one day.

Congrats!!
Reply:It's not a bad choice but I don't know about it for the 1st song. It might be a nice song to end the night. It seems more appropriate for a last dance song. (Better than Last dance by Donna Summer)
Reply:its a great song...but im not sure for a first days cuase you are just starting off the night and your lives together... we used it as our last dance/exit song and now everytime i hear it ithink of the whole wedding and how great it was
Reply:Ohh please... *rolls eyes*

Maybe try these....

Right Here Waiting – Richard Marx

Suddenly – Billy Ocean

Unforgettable – Nat and Natalie Cole

Valentine – Martina McBride and Jim Brickman

You and I – Stevie Wonder

I would just try and pick something that is not so over done...
