I need to know an appropriate song to play during the lighting of my brothers memory candle at my wedding?

My brother died 10 years ago in a car accident. His daughter is now 11 years old. I am going to have her walk down the aisle escorted by her stepfather (whom I highly respect) before the wedding ceremony to light a memory candle for my brother and her father. I would like a song to be playing during this time but I don't know which one! Please help!!

Ask your family for their thoughts. I will probably be in this same situation as my Mama is sick, and probably won't be here by the time I get married. I have seen memory candles being lighted at ceremonies before, and the music was not any different from what the rest of the processional walked to. I think I would opt for that myself. Make a point to list "Lighting of the memory candle in honor of the bride's beloved brother, (his name here)." And list his daughter as the candle lighter in the wedding program. Guests will know what is going on, but it's not made into a big deal that may cast a depressing shadow on what should be a happy event.
Reply:At the risk of sounding corny...Candle in the Wind by Elton John. It may be a little played out but it's still pretty.

Or "I'll Remember" by Madonna. It's a pretty song. Not too fast not too slow but it definately pulls heart strings

Good Luck!
Reply:Go Rest High On That Mountain-Vince Gill,

It's a really touching song.
Reply:Jewel...angel standing by..

Reply:Did your brother have a favorite song? OR is there a song that reminds you of him?
Reply:Are you thinking of a hymn or just a "soft" song? Was there something special he liked - favorite group or a song that was played at his funeral... anything like that?

Let me keep thinking...

I think that's a really cool thing you're doing :)
